Help for Ukraine
UN UKRAINE HUMANITARIAN FUND
The UN Ukraine Humanitarian Fund exists to offer rapid and flexible support to assist vulnerable people in Ukraine, through the distribution of water, food and other basic human necessities by the NGOs and UN Agencies in the area.
UNICEF
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine will work to quickly and efficiently allocate any received funds to where they are most needed. This will include donating hygiene supplies, providing access to education, as well as nutrition to vulnerable children in Ukraine.
AVSI
AVSI is a non-profit organisation founded in 1972, that implements development and humanitarian aid projects in 38 countries. They have been working in Ukraine since 2014 through local organizations. Since the outbreak of the conflict, AVSI immediately organized emergency response actions in the areas at the border with Poland and Romania, in collaboration with organizations in those countries. Their goal is to respond to the most immediate needs of the Ukrainians who are fleeing: protection, medicines, food, and other essentials.
EUROPEAN FOOD BANKS
The European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) is a non-profit organisation based in Brussels. Their mission is to contribute to reducing food insecurity in Europe, through food waste prevention and the call for solidarity, by supporting and developing Food Banks in countries where they are most needed. Regarding the Ukrainian conflict, the priority of the European Food Banks Federation is to assist the Kyiv City Charity Foundation “Food Bank” and the Food Banks in the neighbouring countries such as Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
CARE
For 75 years, CARE has led the way to a better life for the world’s most vulnerable people. The international humanitarian group is providing food, water and other items to families fleeing violence in Ukraine.
CONVOY OF HOPE
Convoy of Hope is a nonprofit organization that aims to feed the world through children’s feeding initiatives, community outreach, and disaster response. With regards to the Ukrainian war, they are acting as a disaster relief group partnering with a local Polish organisation to provide meals to refugees entering Poland, as well as to deliver food, water and other basic essentials across the region.
SAVE THE CHILDREN
Save the Children are helping in the distribution of humanitarian aid to children in Ukraine. Concretely, they are delivering winter and hygiene kits, providing access to a safe education and working to help children overcome the mental and psychological impacts of conflict.
INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE OF THE RED CROSS
The International Committee of the Red Cross responds to urgent humanitarian needs by helping to save and protect the lives of victims of armed conflict and violence. Concretely in Ukraine, the ICRC is aiming to help the most vulnerable individuals access humanitarian aid.
MÉDECINS SANS FRONTIÈRES
Medecins sans Frontieres is an organisation that aims to provide medical care, with a specific focus on humanitarian situations. Please bear in mind that by donating to Medecins sans Frontieres, you will be contributing with unrestricted funding. This means that your donation will be used where the needs are greatest.
HELPING TO LEAVE
Helping to Leave is an organisation that aims to help people evacuate from areas of military conflict. Their mission is to keep Ukrainians safe, supporting them through every step of evacuation, and connecting them with volunteers on the ground who can meet their humanitarian needs. Helping to Leave’s evacuation efforts are recommended by the State Ministry dealing with displaced persons and the Ombudsman Office of Ukraine.

It aims to be Ukraine’s Global Voice by informing the rest of the world about situations occurring in Ukraine by allowing all English speakers to access its news articles. Babel has been following the Russia-Ukraine conflict live and in English. They abide by the principle of impartiality by being equally critical to all sides and aim to correctly reflect the views of all parties.

Svidomi is an independent all-Ukrainian youth online media which aims to impartially inform people about news in Ukraine and the world. It focuses on providing information about political and social life in Ukraine in the simplest and most convenient format.
