For me, ELSA is for the ones who just don't want to repeat what is written in books; but for the ones who want to see, analyse, experience and practice internationally. In the beginning, you may see ELSA as just a local student organisation - till you join and realize it is a professional and loving family, which accompanies you wherever you travel in Europe.
Burcu Filiz
President of ELSA Turkey 2012/2013
Why to join ELSA? The reason is very simple: perfection of your skills. During my six-years active membership, I have personally experienced a huge amount of unique opportunities provided by ELSA. I have participated in three ELSA Law Schools: I was a delegate to the United Nations and the Council of Europe, published several legal articles, created a huge network of personal contacts and discovered various jurisdictions and legal fields. In addition to that, I have organized hundreds of various projects, delivered a huge number of workshops and developed my soft skills, such as IT, marketing, communication and much more, I have found friends for life.
Therefore, if you are not sure, whether ELSA is the thing for you, just keep in mind all the opportunities you are currently missing without ELSA and consider whether you want to become one of the leading lawyers. Each single law student has an education provided by the university, but not everyone has a chance to get his dream job. To sum up, my advice is to work on your perfection with ELSA.

Matej Sadlon
Vice President for Seminars and Conferences of ELSA International 2015/2016
Being a part of the ELSA network provided me with the opportunities to visit Austria, Romania and Turkey for projects called the ELSA Law Schools, which are a week long events focused on a particular area of law. Talking to all the international attendees and the national and international speakers gave me an amazing insight into how the various legal systems approach the same substantive problems. The knowledge exchange between internationally minded people from different legal cultures and backgrounds is what makes ELSA unique.
Tibor Korman
Vice President for Seminars and Conferences of ELSA United Kingdom 2014/2015
Not only does ELSA provide a good basis for future lawyers, judges and prosecutors, but it is also perfect for business minded individuals. The experiences one gets in ELSA, may it be debating, conducting a research or working with international groups of people, are beneficial for a future career in business. As the world becomes more international by the day, it is important to keep an international mindset and not only focus on the immediate surroundings.
Leander van Delden
Treasurer of ELSA Germany 2002/2003
ELSA gave me an opportunity to test my limits as a person and as a professional in a safe but challenging and international environment. Through my time and experiences in ELSA I learned to respect people from other countries, people from my country as well as myself.
Antti Husa
Secretary General of ELSA International 2008/2009
A crucial point in making teamwork productive and valuable for everyone is to use leadership as a means to develop an efficient management strategy. Having organized a handful of very demanding ELSA projects, I can say for sure that there is nothing like an ELSA environment for a law student to master these qualities.
Giannis Petras
President of ELSA Thessaloniki 2015/2016
