ECTS

At the end of the Law School you will receive a certificate that states that the Law School is worth a certain amount of ECTS (from 2 – 6 ECTS depending on the amount of weeks), which you can present to your University to ask them to grant you the credits.

China Law School by CBL International

Study abroad in the world’s largest economy, a centre distinguished for its flourishing opportunities.

As an international not-for-profit education provider, CBL International has been offering China Law School for students and young professionals interested in gaining academic experience through study abroad programmes. China Law School provides the exciting opportunity to experience four of the biggest Chinese economic and political centres; this includes Beijing, Hangzhou, Tianjin, and Shanghai. Each session is two weeks long, and delegates can extend their programme to incorporate all four locations, and even study abroad with CBL International for ten weeks.

The innovative summer study abroad programme offers comprehension into the Chinese legal system, which is achieved through a combination of insightful topics, including Chinese Public and Business Law, Corporate Law, Investment and Trade Law, Taxation in China, Doing Business in China, and a number of other location relevant legal topics.

As a delegate you will learn from renowned professors from elite universities in this region of the world, and participate in company visits to important national and multinational companies, institutions, and law firms. An additional aspect that makes this academic programme popular is the opportunity to intertwine an educational and cultural experience in one, as there are various excursions and day trips to prominent Chinese landmarks.

Application Forms can be downloaded here. Send them to cbl-lawschool@elsa.org to receive a recommendation letter for a 30% scholarship on the tuition fee! As an ELSA member you are entitled to the discount only if you attend session I, session II, or session III, or to extend your programme to include any of these three sessions. The scholarship is not available for participants attending session IV or session V, but applicants are still eligible for an Early Bird Scholarship, Student Association Scholarship, and a group discount during these particular sessions. At the end of China Law School you will receive a Certificate of Attendance, but also an Academic Transcript issued jointly by CBL International and their partner institutions in China to outline the workload and credits earned during the programme. Find out from your university whether you can gain academic credits from this programme as each week is equivalent to 2 ECTS / 1 US credits.
